  1. Do I have to know about Tiki to come to The Hukilau?
    No, you certainly don’t, although you will take away a greater appreciation of this era in time and what Tiki is all about today!

  3. Why do I need to make reservations at the Mai-Kai?
    Due to the hundreds of people that attend The Hukilau each year, we must all make a reservation at the Mai-Kai in order to have a seat and enjoy the festivities for our exclusive party for that one night a year. Since the Mai-Kai has a capacity, each person is taken into account so that we can make your experience more enjoyable. Please do not forget to make your reservation for one of the two Dinner shows – you can click this link here to generate an automatic reservation request to the Mai-Kia or call 954-563-3272
  4. What should I wear?
    Wear what you are comfortable in, but most of the Villagers that attend The Hukilau wear tropical clothing or Vintage Aloha Wear as we call it.  Vintage Aloha shirts and dresses can be found at your local vintage, thrift or specialty shops in every city or can be purchased on Ebay or Etsy.  There are those that wait to come to the event each year to buy their wardrobe!
  5. What kind of parking is there for the event?
    Since the event is hosted at the Hyatt Pier 66, we will be utilizing their parking lot.  If you’re only coming for one day (not staying overnight) Self Parking is $8, if you’re staying at the hotel Self Parking is $15 per day and Valet is $21 per day including an overnight stay – these are discounted rates for The Hukilau.
  6. Does my ticket price include Dinner at the Mai-Kai?
    Your ticket price includes your entry into specific events at The Hukilau so be sure to examine each individual ticket offering so that you can experience what you want. Dinner and drinks at the Mai-Kai are an additional charge and you will simply pay your nights tab at the Mai-Kai.
  7. Can I get a refund for my Passes or Tickets that I’ve purchased?
    Refunds for your passes and tickets are allowed up until midnight on March 1, 2017.
  8. Are tickets sold at the door?
    There will be tickets sold at the door if we are not sold out.  Don’t delay and purchase your tickets now!
  9. Do I need a rental car?
    The Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport is very close to the Hyatt Pier 66 via a short ride with Uber or .  If you plan to venture out to other destinations then a rental might be a good idea.  The Hukilau is providing transportation to and from the Mai-Kai for the Wednesday event at the Mai-Kai (for South Seas, Big Kahuna, Aloha and Luau Pass Holders only) and for Saturday Night at the Mai-Kai provided you have reservations at the Mai-Kai for dinner.
