Our host hotel for 2013 is the Sheraton Beach Hotel Ft. Lauderdale, which The Hukilau™ old-timers fondly (and stubbornly) refer to as the Yankee Clipper. Our group will be staying in the “Classic” building, built to look like a ship.  This beautiful hotel was a popular destination for celebrities in Ft. Lauderdale’s mid-century heyday. It boasts the Wreck Bar, which has windows looking into the pool and a nautical theme. With beach access, first-class service, dining, and lots of ocean-view rooms, the Sheraton will host all of The Hukilau™’s activities on site. The hotel is a short drive from the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
